Introduction of Fujian Key Laboratory of New Energy Generation and Power Conversion

Fujian Key Laboratory of New Energy Generation and Power Conversion adheres to the operating mechanism of “advantage discipline cooperation, excellent talents’ congregation, unified management, graded responsibility, talent flow, performance appraisal, talent cultivation, capital earmarking and strict equipment management” and the general direction of fundamental innovation and industry-academy-research cooperation. The Key Lab was approved for construction in December 2015, and Prof. Chen Daolian, a leading talent of the National Hundred Thousand Ten Thousand Talents Program, and National Outstanding Professional and Technical Personnel, is designated as Director of the Lab.

The Key Lab was established upon Fujian Advantage Discipline Platforms such as Power Electronics and Electric Drives, Control Theory and Control Engineering of Fuzhou University, and the innovation team of New Energy Generation and Power Conversion, to serve as an important fundamental innovation research base for New Energy Generation and Power Conversion for meeting the needs of energy conservation, environmental protection and disciplinary construction objectives in China as well.

The Key Lab dedicates to fundamental innovative research and industry-academy-research cooperation of the following 5 research scopes on New Energy Generation and Power Conversion: integrated photovoltaic and wind power generation system, control theories of new energy generation and power conversion system, equipment and system reliability of power conversion in power system, dynamics of power conversion and electric drives system, and new compound thin film solar cells.

Oriented to cultivating the research team’s innovative capability and accelerating the pace of high-level innovation and talents, the prospective goals of the Key Lab are to build a fundamental innovation base on New Energy Generation and Power Conversion with prominent influence in China, to make more academic achievements, to improve the innovative capability of New Energy Generation and Power Conversion team and to upgrade related disciplinary level to a great extent.
